Split Strategy

I learnt the how to do the spilt strategy.

First I was tought what a “Split strategy” is an when you add or subtract the tens separately to the ones or if hundreds then it is hundreds seperated to tens separately to ones again.

Next we did work on a sheet that asks split strategy and then the normal equations. For example, *51+25=* we would then look under the equation and see *51+20+_* then we will full in the _ like *51+20+5* then answer the equation which is *51+25*

Lastly I answed all the questions and commpleted the task and did all the split strategy equations.

I did well on answering the split strategies and making the split strategies. I enjoyed finding out what a *Split strategy is. I need to improve a little on the normal answers.

Temperatures

I learnt what the hottest and coldest places around the universe are.

First we got some research about the hottest and coldest places around the universe.

Then we made a slide and pasted all of our information we got from our research.

Lastly I started to place on some designs to my google drawing.

I enjoyed getting some research about the temperatures of places. I need to improve on my designs. I did well on pasting the research I got.

Basic Facts Grouping

We learnt the difference between groups of x and x groups.

First, we needed to understand what the difference is between groups of x and x groups.

Next we got some beans and made groups of x and x groups

Lastly we took some photos and placed them on a google slide.

I enjoyed this task because now I know more about my basic facts grouping.

I need to improve on making groups of 7. I did well on making groups of 6.

Additions and subtractions to ten

We learnt our additions to ten and Subtractions to ten.

First, we learned our additions to ten and that other numbers can make tens with different numbers.

Next, we made a copy of a google slide and got a bunch of sticks.

Lastly, we used the sticks to make the addition and subtraction then wrote our answers in the chromebook.

I enjoyed maths because it is fun to learn, I need to improve on actually using the sticks, I did well at the calculations because I got all the  calculations right, mostly though.
